Tourniquet

An important part of our training is to familiarize ourselves with the use of a tourniquet. Like we have seen during the tragic events of the Boston bombings, tourniquets save countless lives every year. What does a tourniquet look like ? There is more to it than just a belt singed around your leg. How do we use a tourniquet ? When do you know it is time to apply one ? All those questions will be answered during the course and lot more.

Have you ever stopped and thought about how you would drag or carry someone if the situation requires it ? In this course, the S.M.A.R.T. TCM instructors will spend hours covering what is necessary to execute a rescue. At the end of the course, we will be confident in the fact that you will be able to analyse a situation, and respond accordingly.

This course was created to assist civilians and law-enforcement during high-stress critical thinking and life-threatening situations such as mass casualty incidents caused by an active shooter, train derailment, natural disaster, terrorist act and more.
